Not Bad

I did two layouts this week. That's pretty darn good for me. I am still aiming for three a week though. If anyone is even looking at this blog stay tuned to see if I make it to three next week.
Something has really been ticking me off recently. I have left dozens of comments on scrapbooking blogs this week and not one person has returned the visit. I am not overly impressed with this "community" and am thinking of moving my blog.

First Prom Layout

This is a layout of my niece Chelsea's first prom. This was in 2007 so it's taken me a little while to get it done. This is just the first page. I used a sketch from Got Sketch it's sketch number 55. Check out her site

Layout One

Here is my first layout for this week. This is from a Martina McBride concert. I used gray and black Bazzil cardstock, black twill with eyelets for the border, the Lucy font by Quickutz and some rub on's from QVC.

My Scrapbook Room

I gave my scrapbook room a mini makeover. The cluttered look just didn't do it for me. I didn't want to spend a lot of money so I only bought a couple of things. I picked up four large photo boxes to replace the plastic shoe boxes and I purchased a "ribbon purse" to hold most of my ribbon.
This is what it looked like before.

This is the after shot of my desk. I finally got the old computer set up in here.

This is another before shot of the room. My desk is L shaped which works great when I am working.

The only thing I didn't have to change is my paper storage. I bought both of these from Cropper Hopper a couple of years ago.

So that's a mini tour of my scrapbooking space.

Welcome

I have been scrapbooking for nine years. Over the last couple of years I have done a few layouts but just can't get back in the swing of things.

After trying to get my scrapbook room more organized I became overwhelmed by the amount of things I have. I didn't know where to start. My room was organized to a point but there was just so much stuff that I couldn't put like things all in the same place. It was just to much.

After that I decided that I have to start scrapbooking again. I have invested to much money to quit. Not to mention all of the precious photos waiting to be put into scrapbooks.

I am challenging myself to do three, double page, 12 x 12 layout's a week. I will post them here when I am finished.

I am a simple scrapbooker that cares more about my photo's than embellishments. If you like to use tons of pattern paper or embellishments then you probably won't like my work. There is no wrong way to scrapbook. I believe that our scrapbook style shows our individual personalities.
